Ask an Elder, with Len & Ginny Logar & Rosemary Murphy
Bobby Smith, Tiffany’s two year old son |
Dear Elder,
My name is Tiffany Smith, Marketing Director, and my question is that I have a two year old son who is growing up way too fast! This year he will be starting preschool for the first time and I am so anxious about this new situation and environment for him and I both, like so many other mothers of young children must be feeling. What did you do when you sent your kids off to school for the first time and how did you cope with this new situation?
Len and Ginny Logar proudly stated that they had a very large family with six children, five boys and one girl! They had told me that they really never had time to worry because they were always caring for other children that were not in school yet but advised me that everything always works out with or without worrying over it.

Rosemary had a slightly different approach to coping with sending her kids off to school for the first time. She said that she would stay busy to keep her mind off of worrying. She said that she never sat down and dwelled on it but instead went shopping and ran different errands.
