Ann and Don |
Many of our employees here at Flower Mound Assisted Living are taking some time off during the summer to enjoy some family fun. With many of our staff attending family reunions this summer or taking vacations, the question then arose, with many asking each other about what fun and special family reunion events, themes, games, etc. made one of your family reunions or vacations a memorable summer filled with memories that would last a lifetime?
Don’s most memorable vacation was when the Dallas Honor Flight Organization flew him and other WWII Veterans out to Washington D.C. for a two day trip to see the WWII Memorial. This was a great privilege and honor for Don because of the fact that many WWII vets never got to see this memorial. During his trip Don got to visit many memorials, monuments, and wonderful people that helped make his trip one that he will never forget.
Ann’s most memorable vacation was when she took a trip to Maui for a wedding. She was greeted by her sister in law to be with a lei made out of orchids that her sister in law had grown and picked herself. Ann also gathered flowers along back roads for the ceremony that was to be held in the 100 year old church. She will be sure to remember this gorgeous trip for a lifetime.
